NFL 2023 London Games

The Jacksonville Jaguars recorded a 25-20 win over the Buffalo Bills as the NFL made a rampant return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

On a picturesque and warm autumnal afternoon, our Men’s Head Coach Ange Postecoglou was amongst the 61,273-record attendance for an NFL game at our Stadium which was largely made up of Bills fans who turned up in their herds as Jaguars weathered a late charge and the vibrant atmosphere to record a second London win in a week.

Jacksonville raced to an early 8-0 lead in the first as wide receiver Zay Jones made a superb leaping grab in the end zone on a six-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Trevor Lawrence with running back Travis Etienne Jr. adding the two-point conversion.

Jaguars were 11-0 ahead right up until the end of the first half when Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen led them 86 yards down the field before finding Stefon Diggs with a 15-yard touchdown pass to make it 11-7 at half-time.

Both teams played out a tense and scoreless third quarter to set up an enthralling climax as the contest burst into life in a 27-point final period. As momentum threatened to swing Buffalo’s way at the start of the fourth, Etienne Jr. marked a memorable day for him personally with his first of two touchdowns to make it 18-7 after an extra point.

Bills’ QB Allen refused to give up and delivered an immediate reply with his second touchdown pass for Gabe Davis, before Jacksonville’s star running back set off on what would be a game-winning 35-yard touchdown run with 2.56 minutes remaining despite Allen’s best attempts to recoup something for his side with a late rushing score to reduce the deficit to five at full-time.

Baltimore Ravens edged Tennessee Titans 24-16 as the NFL produced another superb spectacle in the 2023 London Games finale at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

America's Game delivered once again as 61,011 expectant fans packed inside our world-class venue to witness one of the closest head-to-head rivalries in the AFC and the first meeting between these teams since January 2021.

In the build-up to the encounter, Baltimore Ravens turned Hotspur Way into a temporary home as they became the first NFL team to complete a training week at our Training Centre having touched down in London on Monday night.

As Titans deferred the coin toss for their opponents to receive first at kick-off, Baltimore started brightly as Justin Tucker began what would be an afternoon to remember by slotting his first field goal attempt to give his side an early 3-0 lead.

In reply, Tennessee levelled through Nick Folk’s 26-yard field goal before Ravens’ wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., one of the sport’s biggest stars, and Devin Duvernay delighted the rapturous Ravens fans with two exciting plays which led to them adding two further field goals courtesy of Tucker’s right boot.

After a tight first quarter, Lamar Jackson and rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers combined in the second for the game’s first touchdown and Tucker added his fourth field goal to give Baltimore a healthy 18-3 lead at the interval as English house music duo Goodboys and the Titans’ Cheerleaders performed in unison on the field.

In the third quarter, Folk added another three points of his own following a superb 64-yard run from running back Derrick Henry who then made a 15-yard dash for the Titan’s first touchdown to close the gap to just five and set up an enticing finish.

In a game of fine margins, it was Tucker’s pinpoint field goal accuracy that made the difference as the number 10 went six-from-six to match his career-best figures as the Ravens won it by eight points after Folk had added a consolation field goal at the end.
